# HourTrader FAQ

## Basic Introduction

### Q1: What is HourTrader?

HourTrader is a time-limited simulated trading evaluation offered by PropW. Participants pay a Registration Fee to enroll in an evaluation, which serves as the eligibility requirement and forms the basis for the Scholarship Reward calculation.

Upon successful registration, participants receive a 10,000 USDCP simulated evaluation account and complete trading tasks within a selected evaluation period of 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours.

Participants who successfully achieve the Evaluation Target while complying with all applicable risk management requirements become eligible to receive a Scholarship Reward equivalent to 2× to 10× their Registration Fee.

HourTrader is designed to evaluate trading execution, decision-making, and risk management skills in a realistic simulated trading environment.\
\
Q2: What account size will I receive?

Every HourTrader participant receives a 10,000 USDCP simulated evaluation account.

This account size is standardized for all participants to ensure a fair and consistent evaluation environment.

Your Registration Fee is not deposited into the simulated account and does not affect your simulated trading balance. It serves solely as the enrollment fee and the basis for calculating your Scholarship Reward.

## Evaluation-Related Questions

### Q3: What evaluation durations are available?

HourTrader currently offers four evaluation durations:

* 1 Hour
* 2 Hours
* 4 Hours
* 8 Hours

Participants may choose the duration that best matches their trading strategy and experience.

### Q4: What are the evaluation rules?

All HourTrader evaluations follow these rules:

1. Each account may participate in only one HourTrader Evaluation at a time.
2. Every evaluation duration has a predefined Evaluation Target that must be achieved within the selected evaluation period.
3. All open positions must be closed before the evaluation period ends.
4. Failure to achieve the Evaluation Target before the evaluation expires will result in an unsuccessful evaluation.
5. Every evaluation has a Maximum Account Loss limit. Exceeding this limit immediately terminates the evaluation.

## Q5: How do I successfully complete an HourTrader Evaluation?

To successfully complete an HourTrader Evaluation, all of the following conditions must be satisfied:

1\. Achieve the Evaluation Target

Your account equity must reach or exceed the required Evaluation Target before the evaluation period expires.

2\. Maintain Risk Limits

Your account equity must never exceed the Maximum Account Loss limit throughout the evaluation.

3\. Close All Positions

All open positions must be closed before the evaluation period ends.

Once all evaluation requirements have been met, your Scholarship Reward will automatically enter the review process and will be issued after successful verification.\ <br>

### Q6: What happens if I reach the Maximum Account Loss limit?

Assume your evaluation has a Maximum Account Loss limit of 500 USDCP.

If your account equity falls to 9,500 USDCP or below, your evaluation will immediately fail.

At that point:

* All open positions will be closed automatically.
* You will not be eligible to receive a Scholarship Reward.
* Your Registration Fee is non-refundable.

## Registration & Payment Questions

### Q7: Can I choose my own Registration Fee?

Yes.

For eligible HourTrader Evaluations, participants may choose a Registration Fee between 5 USDT and 500 USDT, subject to the limits displayed on the evaluation page.

The Registration Fee directly determines the amount of the Scholarship Reward.

For example:

* Registration Fee: 50 USDT × Reward Multiplier 10× = 500 USDT Scholarship Reward
* Registration Fee: 100 USDT × Reward Multiplier 10× = 1,000 USDT Scholarship Reward

\
Q8: Is the Registration Fee refundable?
---------------------------------------

No.

Once payment has been successfully completed, the Registration Fee is non-refundable.

The evaluation begins immediately after payment is confirmed, and the evaluation countdown starts automatically.

Participants cannot start another HourTrader Evaluation until the current evaluation has ended, regardless of whether it is successfully completed or not.

After an evaluation has ended, participants may immediately register for another HourTrader Evaluation or participate in another PropW Evaluation Program.\
\
Trading Questions

### Q9: What assets can I trade?

HourTrader currently supports simulated trading for the following instruments:

* BTC/USDCP
* ETH/USDCP
* SOL/USDCP
* XRP/USDCP
* LTC/USDCP

Maximum position limits may vary depending on the selected evaluation.

Please review the Rule Details displayed on the evaluation page before participating.

The list of supported trading instruments may be updated periodically.\ <br>

## Q10: Are trading fees charged?

Yes.

The following trading fees apply to every opening and closing transaction:

* Maker Fee: 0.04%
* Taker Fee: 0.06%

Trading fees are deducted directly from your simulated account balance.

Frequent trading may result in higher accumulated transaction costs, which could affect your evaluation performance.\
\
Scholarship Rewards

### Q11: How is the Scholarship Reward calculated?

Scholarship Rewards are determined using the Registration Fee selected during enrollment together with the chosen Reward Multiplier.

Scholarship Reward = Registration Fee × Reward Multiplier

Example:

100 USDT Registration Fee × 10× = 1,000 USDT Scholarship Reward\ <br>

### Q12: How are Scholarship Rewards issued?

After a participant successfully completes an HourTrader Evaluation, the Scholarship Reward automatically enters the review process.

Once approved, rewards are normally issued within 24 hours and no later than 48 hours under exceptional circumstances.

Applications submitted during non-business days will be processed on the next business day.

#### Important Notes

* Participants who do not successfully complete the evaluation are not eligible for a Scholarship Reward.
* Registration Fees are non-refundable.
* Scholarship Rewards may only be claimed once.
* After issuance, the reward status will be updated to Claimed.\ <br>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.propw.com/help-center/getting-started/hourtrader-faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
